The college wanted to increase social presence in the online course by including personalize welcome messages by the instructors. These messages would need to include a photo and a brief audio welcome by the instructor.
The Solution
We developed a flash object that both displayed digital photos and had a built-in audio player.
Hello, I'm Bob Hassenger. As you can see from the photo, I've been around a while, and a scary number of those years have been at Empire State. Most of those in the Center for Distance Learning. I've been tutoring at a distance, although lately it's been more administration, and I think that online education adds a lot to distance learning. What is Needed to Create a Narrated Still (Single-Image)
When submitting a request for a narrated still slide show, you will need to provide the text, audio and image. CLT does provide assistance in recording digital audio and image creation/selection.
The instructional technologist may expound upon the overall design of the slide show interface based upon the size of the image, narration and/or layout of the course document.
