SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN WESTERN CULTURE (HIS-243454)
Course Description: Study the entire range of scientific and technological discoveries and developments, from the Ionian Greeks to the present day. View the 20th century as a century of revolutions: new discoveries in electricity and electronics revolutionized industrial production and upset landscapes, lifestyles and liberties. Recommended: a previous study of Western civilization or world history is advised. Students not having taken such courses are advised to acquire a text on western civilization and use it as a companion reference work. This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Western Civilization. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
