| Event Description: | Join us for Diversity in STEM with Dr. Gina Torino. In this talk, Dr. Torino will discuss her recent co-authored article entitled, "The Association of Racial and Homelessness Microaggressions and Physical and Mental Health in a Sample of Homeless Youth."

| Comments: | Dr. Torino will focus on describing the development of a new scale measuring homeless microaggressions as well as the association between microaggressions and health/well-being in a sample of homeless youth. Homeless youth are at higher risk for trauma, school dropout, justice system involvement as well as physical and mental health issues including substance abuse. |
