Transferring to Empire State College

International Student Services Home > Admissions

An international student may transfer to Empire State College as long as he or she has maintained lawful F-1 student status. Transfer students need to meet all of the same undergraduate admissions requirements as new students. Transfer students also have to submit the following documentation to the international student liaison:

  • A copy of the current I-20
  • A copy of the student's passport
  • A copy of the student's I-94
  • A completed transfer form (found below)

When a transfer student is accepted into Empire State College, the international student liaison will request that the student ask for his/her SEVIS record to be transferred to the college. Each college requires a different procedure for processing the transfer of a student's record. The student is responsible for checking with the former college's DSO(designated school official) to determine what information is necessary to process the transfer. Return to navigation links
