If you haven’t yet, it’s time to plan a visit to Saratoga. On your tour, be sure to stop in and visit CDL's new home at 113 West Ave.
“This building belongs to all of us – faculty, students, community members, SUNY colleagues," said Interim Dean Thomas Mackey. "I am happy to share the spacious conference rooms, advanced video and teleconferencing equipment, and presentation technology. I hope we can build bridges and encourage idea sharing with people and groups locally and across the world."
With a bustling 45,550 square feet of space, there’s lots of room to offer. The new space integrates CDL’s office space with more than six state-of-the-art conference rooms, an art gallery, unique meeting spaces, a terrace and plenty of parking.
In addition, elevators, flexible spaces, wide halls and entryways, and innovative induction loop systems that transmit sound to hearing aids make the building accessible for individuals with physical challenges.
"This space is truly multi-functional. We can offer it as an expanded college wide resource for graduate residences, special events, and more. This allows us to build connections and truly support technology-enhanced innovations for open, blended, and online learning,” said Shelley Dixon, director of outreach.
The College celebrated the new building with an open house and ribbon cutting. Among the guests of honor were SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher and Empire State College President, Alan Davis.
