Empire State College is authorized under federal law to admit Canadian citizens that are border commuter students.

Empire State College no longer issues I-20s to students who require an F-1 student visa to come to the US. If you wish to live in the US to study, please see other State University of New York options at www.suny.edu.

If you would like to earn a degree with Empire State College from wherever you live in the world, you can do so entirely online through our International Distance Learning program. Please see www.esc.edu/IDL for more information.
